Ruins of Hi Aburihan Al-Biruni Laboratory

These ruins are located in Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum district. This is not an ordinary ruin, it is the laboratory of the famous 10th century scientist Aburihan al-Biruni, in which he used the tops of these mountains to correctly estimate the total measurement of the earth. According to al-Biruni, the diameter of the earth was 3928.77, while NASA's According to the calculation with the help of modern equipment, it is 3847.80 i.e. a difference of only 81 km

Al-Biruni wrote more than two hundred books, he was attached to Mahmud Ghaznavi's court, he came to Kalkarhar with the Afghan army, the Afghans made him this laboratory based on Al-Biruni's design.

Now the thing to think about is how we value our heritage, no one goes into it except a few goatherds, if it is not taken care of, we will soon lose this wonder, besides here The road to reach it is also not good, one has to walk for about an hour

The government should repair this laboratory and road, and educational institutions should conduct study tours of historical places.

یہ کھنڈر ضلع جہلم کے شہر پنڈ دادن خان میں واقع ہیں۔ یہ کوئی عام کھنڈر نہیں، یہ دسویں صدی کے مشہور سائینسدان ابوریحان البیرونی کی لیبارٹری ہے، جس میں انہوں نے ان پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں کا استعمال کر کے زمین کی کل پیمائش کا صحیح اندازہ لگایا ۔البیرونی کے مطابق زمین کا قطر 3928.77 تھا جبکہ  ناسا کی جدید آلات کی مدد سے کیلکولیشن کے مطابق 3847.80  ھے یعنی محض81 کلومیٹر کا فرق

البیرونی نے دو سو سے زیادہ کتابیں لکھیں، وہ محمود غزنوی کے دربار سے منسلک تھے، افغان لشکر کے ساتھ کلرکہار آئے، افغانوں نے البیرونی کے ڈیزائن پر انکو یہ لیبارٹری بنا کر دی

‏اب سوچنے کی بات یہ  ہے کہ ہم اپنے ورثہ کی کیسے قدر کرتے ہیں، اس میں ماسوائے چند بکریاں چرانے والوں کے کوئی نہیں جاتا، اگر اس کا خیال نہیں رکھا گیا تو بہت جلد ہم اس عجوبہ سے محروم ہوجائینگے، اس کے علاوہ یہاں تک جانے کا راستہ بھی ٹھیک نہیں ہے، اس کے لئے تقریبا ایک گھنٹہ پیدل سفر کرنا پڑتا ہے
